She Is Here

A reflection for the arrival of Sacred Defiance
She Is Here — Sacred Defiance is officially published on Amazon

For a long time, I thought this book was something I was writing.
I didn't realise it was something I was becoming.

She began in the places where I could no longer pretend I was okay.
In the questions I didn't want to answer.
In the moments when the life I had built no longer felt like the life I was meant to remain inside.

She grew through grief, rage, fear, courage and surrender, and through the quiet moments when something deeper kept whispering:
Come back to yourself.

There were times I wanted to put her away.
Times I wondered who I thought I was to tell this story.
Times I was terrified of what might happen if people saw beyond the polished version of me.

But she wouldn't leave.

Because perhaps this was never about writing a book.
Perhaps it was about refusing to abandon myself again.

Sacred Defiance emerged when I stopped asking how to become who I thought I should be, and began asking a different question:
What if I returned to who I already was?

This book holds the places where we break open.
The moments when the body speaks before the mind is ready to listen.
The endings that become beginnings.
The grief that strips away what was never truly ours.
And the reclamation that begins when we decide our lives belong to us.

It isn't a book about having everything figured out.
Thank God.

It is a book about becoming willing to listen.
To the body. To the ache.
To the parts of ourselves we silenced to belong.
To the quiet knowing that arrives long before we have the courage to follow it.

And most importantly, it is an invitation.
Not to become someone new.
But to return.
To your voice. To your boundaries. To your wildness.
To the woman beneath everything you were taught you had to be.

Today, I am letting this book leave me.
That is both terrifying and beautiful.

For years, she lived inside my notebooks, my wounds, my healing, and the long conversations I had with myself when nobody else could hear.

Today, she belongs to the world.

So this is not simply an announcement.
It is an introduction.

Meet Sacred Defiance.

She is not here to tell you who to be.
She is here to ask you what you have forgotten about yourself.

She is here for the woman standing at the edge of an old life.
For the woman whose body has started speaking.
For the woman who has spent years being everything everyone else needed, and is quietly wondering:
What about me?

Perhaps, somewhere within these pages, you will recognise something.
A sentence. A wound. A truth.
A part of yourself you thought you had lost.

And perhaps you will hear the same invitation I eventually heard:
Come home.
Not backwards. Not to who you once were.
But forward, into the woman you become when you finally stop abandoning yourself.

Sacred Defiance is here.
And so, perhaps, am I. ❤️
