Ahh Lionsgate. You do offer a time for reflection and insight. Enjoy today's reflection. To those that need to hear this today. You are not alone.
Last night the moon hung low, full and impossible to ignore. For me, it doesn't matter whether the invitation comes from the heavens, from nature, or from the quiet wisdom within. What matters is that I choose to listen.
There are seasons in life when we are asked to reflect. To honestly look at where we have been. To acknowledge the grief we have carried, the dreams we have buried, the quiet victories that often go unnoticed because we were too busy surviving.
Then comes the harder invitation. Release. Not because what we are carrying was wrong. But because every season has a purpose, and there comes a time when holding on requires more energy than letting go.
Release the need to be understood by everyone. Release the stories that no longer belong to who you are becoming. Release the version of yourself that survived, so the version that is ready to live can finally breathe.
Only then do we create space to receive. Not just abundance. But presence. Joy. Peace. Connection. Love that doesn't need to be earned. The quiet knowing that enoughness has never been something we had to chase.
This weekend my family will gather in a place we have not all shared together for more than a decade. A small church nestled between places known in Aboriginal culture as Women's Business and Men's Business—a gathering place held gently between the wisdom of both.
The last time I stood there was after returning from a Vision Quest in Livingstone National Park—a journey that quietly changed the course of my life. I could never have imagined then what life would ask of me over the following years. The endings. The rebuilding. The grief. The extraordinary beauty. The woman who slowly emerged beneath it all.
Now I return. Not to revisit the woman I once was. But to honour the woman I have become. Perhaps that is what Return to Self has always meant. Not becoming someone new. Remembering the person who was there before fear, expectation, responsibility and survival asked us to forget.
So wherever you are today… Pause. Take a breath. Reflect on the road that has shaped you. Release what has completed its work. Receive what life is quietly placing in your open hands.
Sometimes the most powerful transformation doesn't happen because the stars align. It happens because, for one precious moment… we do.
What am I grateful for that has brought me here? What am I ready to lovingly release? What am I willing to receive, without guilt, without resistance and without believing I must first earn it?
Perhaps coming home to ourselves has never been about finding a new path. Perhaps it has always been about remembering the way back.
